Breakfast For The Whole Family
At the last Kellogg’s brunch I attended the lovely Kelly from Three Lil Princesses asked a question about transitional breakfast food for babies – something I’d never really thought about before; I’d just feeding my kids whatever I thought they could/would eat. But it’s actually a brilliant question and immediately I realised that the Sultana buds I’d taken home for the kids after the very first brunch were exactly that: a brilliant transitional food!
Bear and Bliss both love them, eating them dry or with milk and I love them because they are easy for them to eat and there’s no additional honey required.
I know that for some families the honey issue isn’t a problem and is something they would prefer to add however, in our house Bliss has become a bit obsessed with honey wanting to eat it constantly. It’s a habit I want to break and so, for us the Sultana Buds are perfect addition to our breakfast routine. (I’ve also been know to grab a handful as a mid-afternoon snack myself!)
Not only that, Sultanta Buds and Sultana Bran are high in fibre which is great for kids! If you’d like to read a review of the product from some people who actually have a clue about this (unlike me!) then check out the post on Do You Eat written earlier this year.
Moving from fibre to treats, I thought it would be fun to add some Coco-Pops to this giveaway. Christmas is a fun, family time and I thought it was great to hear Kelly Burstow from Be A Fun Mum talk about buying Coco-Pops each school holiday for her kids to enjoy. So this holiday, I have a fun breakfast pack to give away and be enjoyed and it includes…
Prize pack is 2 boxes of SultanaBran Buds, 2 boxes of Sultana Bran and 2 boxes of Coco-Pops.

I am a huge fan of the cooked brekkie with bacon, eggs and sausages…sometimes with hash browns…I know how bad it is supposed to be for me, but I don’t have it often and when I do I eat less through the rest of the day…most of the time I am a non-breakfast eater but if I’m really going to have it, it has to be a meal rather than a snack (which is mostly what i consider the toast and tea I have most mornings to be).
Mmmm it’s hard to go past Eggs Benedict but that’s just a special treat if we have breakfast out. Our regular summertime breakfast is Bircher Muesli – yum :-)
Fluffy scrambled eggs. Love starting the day with protein!
I love a savoury breakfast, eggs, bacon, crispy toast.
My family however all really like sweet food, so our traditional birthday breakfast of pancakes is a big hit with everyone else.
After the Kellogs Brunch Heidi discovered ‘brown cornflakes’ – ie sultana bran, she loves them so much and I love that she loves them.
We have 5 chickens in the back yard. Our best breakfast is Boiled eggs with toast (soliders). Cannot beat fresh eggs the kids collected. If you have room Chickens and kids are great combination.
I love making an ommlette for my hubby in the mornings, especially after a roast dinner when I can add some chicken and potato to the mix!
We often had Coco Pops as a school holiday treat too! My kids actually prefer good old rice bubbles or corn flakes though, but with a little honey added (can’t get away without the honey).

I love croissants and OJ. My 3yo loves his croissants frozen straight out of the freezer!! I also love honey smacks but no longer available so very sad about that!!
I love my mum’s pancakes. They are just delicious; fluffy, not too sweet or thick. Served with a generous dollop of chantilly cream and a squeeze of freshly-picked lemon from the tree. Or some homemade jam..Mmm yum!! Although I no longer live at home, I do still go to mums for her pancakes for brekkie on occasion! they’re too good to resist!!
Hands down it is crepes with lemon and sugar. We have it every Sunday and I love, love, love it!
I’m told I’m strange, and that my breakfast is yukky, but i like toast that’s gone cold, then you put on real butter and a really thin smear of red jam. I think I must have got used to eating it like this when the children were little, I was also a day care mum for 11 years, so food and drinks were always going cold. Now by choice I drink tepid tea and coffee. I did say people think I’m strange
I love a big breakfast if we eat out because I’m normally starving by the time we’ve managed to get everyone out of the house to a cafe. On a normal day I eat a couple of wheat-bix with muesli on top with honey and sometimes a banana as well. Those buds look interesting!

My favourite breakfast meal is anything my kids will actually eat. Heh. For myself though, I’m a fan of avocado on toast.

I love my homemade bircher muesli – oats soaked overnight (in apple juice if I have it) then grated apple, crushed almonds, honey, yoghurt and a splash of milk. Berries if I have them. Yum!
Love bacon, eggs and sausages, especially when it’s being cooked by my hubby on a Sunday morning…like right now!
I love a big breakfast …scrambled eggs, snags, hash browns and toast but have to have it at a cafe so I don’t have to wash up the mess lol
I love pancakes topped with raspberries and blueberries.
I love Hash Browns
My favourite breakfast meal would have to be: pancakes with lemon & sugar & GREAT coffee. All magically prepared by elves in the kitchen while I laze about in the sun-room. (In my dreams.)
I have liked your new FB page.
Our favourite breakfast (especially on Sunday mornings) is wholemeal banana pancakes – light fluffy circles of banana goodness!
Actually, we made some this morning :)
Chunky French toast with vanilla yogurt , dusted with icing sugar and maple syrup

Hmm pancakes. With lemon and sugar of course!!
Scrambled Eggs, Bacon and Fried tomato for sure.. but truthfully I ♥ my daily dose of mixed grain cereal with macadamia nuts and honey!
My favourite breakfast meal is waffles with icecream and strawberries…yummy. Love the giveaway, so many people from the Kelloggs brunches are talking about those buds that I keep meaning to buy them for my kidlets to try out but keep forgetting!

I love pancakes and it is the one breakfast that all of my family likes, although we do need to have several choices for toppings because we don’t all like the same things there!
A staple however is coco pops, we might have a riot if there isn’t coco pops for breakfast at least once a week from the older 3 children and i always have sultana bran for me (though i don’t like to share with the kids often lol)
At the moment I’m dieting so I just can’t go past shortcut bacon and poached eggs! Sooooooooooooooooo delicious and full of protein!

My favorite breakfast is waffles smothered in berries and a scoop of ice cream.
I have to say… Eggs Benedict must be my favourite breakfast! ;) Sultana bran buds sound delicious, though… I’m sure my boys would enjoy! I came to check out your blog, Louisa but didn’t expect so many giveaways! Looking forward to seeing what else you have to say. The new look is gorgeous! :)

Can’t decide between eggs benedict and french toast with bacon and maple syrup. Gotta have a good coffee as well.
My daily breakfast is weetbix – the kids love it with a little sugar….but for a special treat we all love pancakes with lots of toppings, strawberries, maple syrup, sugar and lemon, cream, blueberries! YUM!
I have two weetbix, topped with a sweet cereal (eg Sultana Bran, muesli, etc). Then I crush Linseeds, Almonds and Chia seeds in a coffee grinder and pour them on top with sunflower and pumpkin seeds, and some walnuts. Then, if there is still room in the bowl, some fruit on top. Pour on Soy milk and eat. Delicious!
I love my cereal. I eat it twice a day every day for breakfast and as a snack after dinner. I have a few favourites I love muesli cereals, fruity bix, nutri grain, cocoa chex and more served with really cold milk.
I’m sorry to say I LOVE Weetbix…….. I’m a reasonably small framed person but since starting to breastfeed I eat 5 a morning. It gives me the energy I need for the morning & I will sometimes indulge in a ‘small’ supper of 4 Weetbix. NO SUGER – has to be plain & no crunchy, not suggy – just right.
I only eat on week ends bacon.eggs, tomato and toast and orange juice and cup of coffee and a couple of slices of toast
I love home made Hot cross buns for breakfast. I make them all year round…My family beg me for them. Dripping in butter, warm from the oven so yummyy!!!
My 4yo’s staple at the moment is “2 pieces of big toast not cut into little pieces, with cheesymite, no crusts, not cut into little pieces” – it is very important that I do not cut the toast up as I recieve the same request every day!! I like Sanitarium Berry flakes (can’t remember the exact name) with fresh strawberries and blueberries (if they’re reasonably priced) and some yoghurt. Miss 2 rotates between Cheerios, toast, yoghurt, fruit. Our hands down favourite is when Daddy cooks his beautiful pancakes – so much so that it has become a ritual to have them every weekend! :)
I love when my 9 year old nephew stays over and cooks his famous omlettes- baby spinach, a sprinkle of cheese and ham. If we are really lucky he will cook smoked salmon omlettes. He is a real foodie!
My favourite breakfast is anything someone else makes for me.

Like buffet feeding four children, hubby and I!
We love our pancakes with maple syrup here. Very naughty I know but they are ever so yummy!
Fresh coffee – just one cup perks me up!
Toast – I was Born & ‘Bread’ on this staple breakfast!
When I was a kid it was toast every day, occasionally an English muffin or a crumpet for something different :) Now I prefer a glass of orange juice and an apple, or some rice cakes and Greek yoghurt.

The only breakfast cereal I eat is COCO POPS! Sadly hubby always eats it all and I barely manage to get one bowl out of a family size pack. Then once he eats my cereal he has all his cereal to himself because he knows I don’t eat it.
Nice greasy bacon and eggs followed by a nice serve of pancakes with lemon juice and sugar on top
Oh this is easy.
I may be 35 years old, but I am STILL a Coco Pops addict lol
I don’t buy them much any more because of BJ6′s reaction to them. But mmmmm YUMMO!

We love cereal, fruit and yoghurt!! Our cupboard has a choice, coco pops, crunchy nut and the good ole weetbix!!
My little man and i love to eat cornflakes with honey and banana and for when we feel like a change we have weet-bix with banana.
My favourite breakfast is sweet and savoury.
Hot fluffy blueberry pancakes, nice cripsy bacon with a scoop of vanilla ice-cream and topped with maple sauce. I discovered this a few years ago and havent turned back!
My husband and kids love nothing more then weetbix and sultana buds!
Pancakes !!!! Omg yes ! Makes me want some now – yummy
Poached Eggs on grainy toast,
Is what I enjoy the most.
But it’s muesli most days,
To keep fat away!
I love bacon & eggs, but as I’m not energetic enough to cook in the morning I absolutely love Crunchy Nut Cornflakes. So do the kids, the box doesn’t last long.
Bacon and eggs. But only if someone else has made it for me. It gets all over my glasses and leaves me greasy, so long live the $5 all day breakfast cafe!

Nom nom nom COCO POPS! has always been my fave, as a child it was such a treat we only got it once a year in the long school holidays. still adore them :P
My favourite breakfast meal does excite,
I love to make it colourful and bright!
The ingredients I like to mix is chopped fresh cherries,
And if in season I mixed loads of mouthwatering berries!
I NEVER have to ask the kids to eat twice,
Because my home made pancakes ALWAYS entice!
I used to go Special K but it never made me look like the people in the ads! Eating the kids leftover crusts probably doesn’t count but that one day a month when we go out to breakfast I love scrambled eggs, bacon, tomatoes and toast with a real coffee mmmmm
Steel cut oats! YUM! Perfect in winter with raw sugar and honey drizzled on top. Or perfect in summer with fresh berries. SO good!
my 3yr old LOVES Buds and they taste great too!! I enjoy eatting them too heheh
