Australian Girl Doll {Giveaway}
A few years ago I was strolling through a local market when I came across the most beautiful dolls I’d ever seen. I was stunned by how lifelike and gorgeous they were and immediately wanted to take one home with me. Reason kicked in, my barely 1 year old was never going to appreciate and care for this doll the way it warranted, but I filed them away for down the track.
I recently reconnected with Australin Girl Doll and am still quite stunned by how beautiful they are. These dolls are actually geared towards slightly older girls and I can see why…
The Australian Girl Doll is run by Western Australian grandmother Helen Schofiled. The business is fully Australian owned and endorses the work of Kids Free 2 Be Kids. They are wonderful dolls that would make a wonderful Christmas gift for the little girl in your life and a great way to support a positive Australian business. You can find out more on their website: Australian Girl Doll
Today I have a $100 Gift Voucher to the Australian Girl doll store. To enter just pop over to the Australian Girl Doll shop and tell me why you’d like to have an Australian Girl Doll in your house and which one you think would be the best fit for your family.

Hello Matilda, we’d love to adopt you,
We really are a friendly crew!
There’s three of us, and we’re all girls
We really love your fiery red curls!
You’d be our very best friend forever,
You look so fun, yet look so clever!
We’d take you to places that are cool
The zoo, the park, maybe even school!
In mum’s car, on perhaps on a bus,
Oh Matilda, come waltz with us!
Mum told us about this great competition
So take make you ours is our only mission!
So fingers crossed you’re headed our way,
And if you do, we will shout “HOORAY!!!!!!!”
These are absolutely beautiful dolls – and a welcome change to the many over-sexualised and unrealistic-looking dolls that are on the market at the moment. It’s hard to choose a doll, because they are all so lovely. But I think Belle would fit in well with our family. We are a family of beach goers and water babes – and Belle is sunsmart (and not wearing skimpy swimwear!)

I asked my Lulu who she loved best
She said OOOhhhh the Amy Doll.
I asked her why and she said
“because mum, she is just beautiful”
You know what, I think she is just beautiful, my Lulu that is
So on that note I think they would be a match made in heaven.

I love the Matilda. with a curly red haired little one she’s felt left out with all the straight haired blond ballernia dolls. She’d be thrilled to have a doll that looked more like her.
My girls would LOVE these. Unlike their mother, both are dolly mad. Especially Keira. Need to move to Aus.
Xxxx
Amy just fell in love with the Matilda doll and her red curly hair. I think Amy would adore her.

we’d order Matilda! she has curly hair like liesel :-)
We’d love to welcome Amy into our home – my daughter has often commented that all her baby and girl dolls are all blonde, and that even Barbie is the “lead”doll in the pack with her blonde hair. With her glossy brown hair and chocolate eyes Amy is a ringer for my young lady, and is a beautiful role model for my gorgeous little Aussie girl.

They are all gorgeous but I’m thinking Emily or Belle would fit in with our family. Emily wears an Akubra like my husband and has long hair my girls would love to brush. Belle looks just like my daughters when we get to the beach.
I have no girls in my immediate family, but 2 nieces who would LOVEthese dolls, i love that they arent sexualised AT ALL!!! FANTASTIC! i think Katie would LOVE Matilda, and Kiara would LOVE amy!
Great find Lou and thanks for sharing this!
We love Matilda because her curly hair matches our curly haired girl :)
We already own Jasmine and Belle, so I think we would get one as a gift for a friend – and I think we’d choose Matilda – huge fans of Australian Girl Doll

I like Matilda as she has curly hair like my eldest who despairs over having curly hair – so I love to point out other people/dolls/characters who have curly hair!
Emily, welcome to our home!
Where you will be free to roam.
My daughter wants you for her bed,
so you can snuggle, head to head.
An Aussie girl with attitude,
you will be welcomed with gratitude.
We have a horse that you can ride,
The Aussie outback will fill you with pride.
Underneath the gum trees
you can feel a wonderful breeze.
Emily, open arms are here,
Our love you will endear. :)

Like you, I saw these recently and thought that they would be perfect for my little girl (she’s 1 tomorrow!) when she gets a little bit older, and will take good care of her. Emily is the one I would choose, as my little girl has blonde hair too, and loves the country. Her first words were ‘cow’ and ‘dog’ and she loves spending time at the farm with her dad and mum. I love how ‘real’ these dolls are – innocent, non-sexualised, healthy, Australian fun!
we’ve definitely a little Emily in our house. she wants a wombat for christmas.
our little one is a mix of matilda and emily. she’d love one as her cousins in canada all have the american girls and I’ve been angst to order her anything American when she’s a little Aussie through and through.
Belle!! She looks totally ready for our Beach lovin’ family!
These dolls look so beautiful! Real little girls dolls that are dressed like kids and don’t encourage kids to grow up too quick!
Oh we so love Jasmine she would make the perfect friend for Jack our boy doll
I have been collecting for 20 years and plan on giving the dolls to our Jasmine when she turns 16
we would take such good care of her
I love the idea of an Australian Girl Doll in our household as I feel much more comfortable with what she represents (as opposed to the plastic not-so-fantastic imports). Matilda is a definite fit for our family, as she is cute and casual just like my kids!
I just adore the little stories that the dolls have with them, it brings them alive! Emily would fit in here quite well actually, she has the modern Rapunzel factor and I don’t just mean the hair!, She has that easy going attitude and that adventurous spirit I see in my own girls!
I have a little girl who would love to make friends with Emily! They are so similar in looks and she would make a great new playmate for a little girl who is just leaving her teddy bears behind and venturing into the world of dolls. :)
I love all of these dolls. They are real and strong which I think is a wonderful role model for our daughters. I think Matilda might be the best fit for us.
I love the jasmine doll, not only because she has my name :) but she bears a striking resemblance to Miss 8, who would absolutely adore & cherish her.
She is sold out but Matilda would be perfect for us, she looks just like my sister in law whose youngest daughter is called Matilda, funny coincidence. :D
Oh these are completely gorgeous! I love both Matilda and Jasmine. I just know my Bridie would adore one of these!

I have wanted to get one of these dolls for my daughter since they were created, they are so lovely and very unique. We love the Emily doll she looks similar to my daughter and we think she would be happy living in our house.
My niece is a dead-ringer for Matilda – she’ll wonder why a doll was made for her
Matilda – she looks ‘Mat’nificent, my daughter would really love this
I am so glad I saw this post. I have been trying to find my daughter a beautiful doll, without much luck. We don’t allow the mass produced unrealistic dolls(ugly girls we call them) as I don’t believe they are appropriate toys for children. To see real dolls that actually look like little girls is just amazing! My daughter would love Jasmine as she looks a little like her. they are all so beautiful!

matilda would have to be the one
that in our house
would be such fun.
She would be so loved
and kissed and hugged
Jasmine would be welcomed into our home, she will be shared and loved.
Oh my gosh Amy you look so much like my little girl you’d both be such amazing friends We’d love to have you part of our family you’d fit in perfectly!! all of your friends are gorgeous too! We just have to have you all at some stage!
I love the message of Australian Girl, girls can so anything! and Matilda is and has always been my favourite. I would love to have one for my eldest girl. I think she would really treasure her and want to take her everywhere.

My little girl only has handmade dolls to play with, because I couldn’t bring myself to buy any of the other dolls that are available in the shops – they look weird and send undesirable messages.
I haven’t EVER seen these dolls, but Matilda would be perfect for my maternal (and currently only) child to play with and care for.
Matilda is all sold out,
Which is a shame as she should be ours,
With all her red hair she surely shouts,
“Please take me to the Finlay’s house!”
But were I to win,
It is Belle I would buy,
My Roo would grin,
And Christmas cuddles would be mine!

She won’t feel so alone anymore,so please Louisa Claire be so kind
let me win this Awesome Prize!!!
These are adorable! I loved American Girl dolls since that’s where I grew up! I would definitely be interested in one of these for our daughter, but seeing as she’s not scheduled to pop out for another 8 weeks, I would actually love to give one of these to my niece. She’s in America but has had a fascination with Australia for year (probably because of a certain aunt and uncle!) I would choose Emily because she is such a classic Aussie girl in an iconic way! Thanks for letting us know about this brand!

Emily reminds me of the Sindy doll I treasured as a child. Whilst Barbie was flexing her umm…chest muscles in the doll world, I was captivated by the one doll who looked more like me and my friends and not my Mum! I’m sure Emily would captivate my daughter for all those reasons.
We have lots of trucks and cars as our son is our firstborn, but his little sister is only just beginning her collection of dolls. I think Emily would be a perfect “first” doll for our daughter Sophie and I would be thrilled to watch her do all the things little girls do with dolls like dressing her, brushing her hair and rocking her to sleep! Awwww!
I would love to bring Amy home as she would be a great mate for my daughter Savannah. They look the same and looks like they both like dancing! I love the fact that Amy is Australian Made and I know is made to last!
Amy would be the doll we would love to have in our house. My little one has just begun to work out that all children look different (different skin, hair and eye colour, different eye shape etc). I think Amy would be perfect for Brie to keep exploring that everyone is unique!
