Louisa Claire

It’s time to close this chapter

For months I’ve been sitting with this decision, and tonight it’s time to speak it.

I’ve adored this blog for the past 7 years. It’s grown a lot over the years – as have I. From newlywed to mother of three, from ‘what the heck and I doing?’ to blogging business and how-to-start-a-blog ebook.

But I’m done…here.

There’s a lot I want to say but as my kids get older, I no longer want to say it in a public forum.

It’s not the end, end – of course. Blogging is part of the fabric of my life and you’ll find me again, if you wish to, blogging away – but it’ll be different, something new and fresh….it’s time for a change, I’m ready.

Thank you SO much for reading and for those who have come on this journey with me I can’t tell you how much I have appreciated you.

For now, you can catch me most often on Instagram or over on my biz blog and if you want to keep in touch then you can find me at hello{at}louisaclaire.com

For now, this it *deep breaths*

From the bottom of my heart thank you and adieu.

Thoughts on “It’s time to close this chapter

  1. Hey Louisa, good luck, look forward to seeing what you’re up to next. I totally understand where you’re coming from when it comes to your blog, I’ve been sitting on the fence with mine swaying back and forth. Feeling a little lost to say the least, so at this stage, just soldiering on in a less is more format. But more often than not these days I’m asking myself why?

    • It’s hard Mandy – I think when I didn’t come back to it this year I just knew. Saying goodbye has been amazingly freeing and I’m excited now about being able to pursue some other things. Good luck with making the right decision for you! xx

  2. Oh my gosh, I felt a little breathless reading that! You were one of my first ever blogs “everything is edible” :) Will miss your personal updates insanely, but I get it. I feel so worried sometimes about what I put out there for my 13 year old, it’s always a minefield to keep their privacy intact

    • Oh Elise, how lovely you are! Thank you for your lovely support – it’s an exciting time to be a blogger and it’s good to think through what it means for family – keep going, looking forward to see how it continues to go for you! x

  3. AHHHH! I’ll miss this chapter, but fully get the reasons. Thanks so much for sharing your thoughts and your life with us in this format for so long :) God bless the next expressions!

  4. have always loved your connection and really understand this sage decision. May the next chapter be just as exciting and fulfilling. I hope to stay connected. xx
