2 months and 4 days….will you forgive me?
2 months and 4 days. That’s how long it’s been since I last updated this blog. So much to say about the past 2 months…I hope you will forgive my absence as I strive to get back into the regular updating cycle! It’s going to take me a few posts to fill you in on the past couple of months so I might work backwards.
Today is October 6 and HH is painting the town red. Well the hall anyway. He started on this about 12 months ago and is finally finishing it this weekend in preparation of Christos moving in with us for a month and my folks visiting for a few days next weekend.
Looking pretty good hey?!
In other ‘news’, I have been back from Malaysia for a little over a week. Had a great time with Penelope but did miss my dear husband. We had 7 days in total in KL + 2 days travel. We spent 4 days shopping and sightseeing in KL and 3 days at a luxurious resort in Pulau Pangkor.
It was quite funny getting there. We had to catch a 4 hour bus from KL to Lumut and the get a ferry to the island. As we walked to the ferry pier we walked passed a security guard…asleep! Hmm…ominous start. Once we arrived on the island and were in the taxi to the resort we started to feel a little worried. It seems that the word ‘resort’ is used pretty loosely on Pangkor and as we drove past these rather dodgy looking places all proudly called ‘resorts’, sitting in the heat and humidity we were nervous! However it seems that we got what we paid for on this resort (which was a bit – $175 per night/rm) as we drove through the security gates (off to a good start – these guards were awake!) we drove up the lush path, past the beautiful gardens and into a true resort!
The foyer of our resort…(you can imagine our happiness arriving here!)
The set up and view for Sat night dinner…
We were also pampered with a 2+hr beauty session – full body massage, foot ‘experience’ and facial – gorgeous!
I won’t bore you with to many other pics….needless to say it was a lot of fun; lots of shopping, eating and talking. Miss Awesome talks a lot! (ha ha! she will appreciate that comment)
I’d better go and give the Happy Husband a hand now. Back tomorrow with more news on the past couple of months.
Thanks again for sticking with me!
