12WBT Day 1 Review
It’s the end of 12WBT Day 1 and this is what I know
- the food is delicious!
- 1200 calories doesn’t go far (or as far as I would like),
- I spent more time that I should have dreaming about what food I wanted to be eating,
- I felt extra cranky with my kids tonight, not being able to snack through the dinner routine, I’ll need to work on that.
- The wine taunted me from the fridge tonight….
- There are the same number of calories in a punnet of strawberries, a skinny latte, a tub of 5AM low fat strawberry yoghurt and a small cinnamon donut!
- I want the latte but, the strawberries or strawberry yoghurt would be better
- The excercise is going to be the hard bit
- I feel really good and motivated!
As I sat dreaming of the food I’d like to eat, or drinks I’d like to drink I happened to look down and thought – I’ve started! I’m doing something now and that’s what I need to keep the focus on.
Heart Rate Monitor should arrive tomorrow – looking forward to getting moving!

I agree on the 1200 calories not going far! I’m hungry, need to drink more water.
I was extra cranky with kids this arvo too. Must be withdrawals!

It’s getting a bit easier…kind of…I think?
Jumping on the scales today definitely helped me find some more motivation :)
Hum, the thing with exercise is you have to find something that you really enjoy doing . . . or you won’t do it!
I think I was be so hungry on only 1200 calories. Good for you for being able to stick to it!!

Haha – yes, not sure I can fully blame the crankiness on the food – lol!
What kind of HRM did you go with?
I’ve been looking to buy one but not sure where to get them…except at overpriced places like Rebel.
You should also start recording your RHR, there isn’t much of a bigger indication that the effort you’re making is paying off than seeing it get lower and lower.
I ordered the Polar FT4 off ebay and it arrived the next day which was great – I paid $95 and free postage if that helps? Good tip on the RHR – thanks for that :)
Ahh motivation. So necessary! I agree 1200 calories would leave me a little peckish, but eating less calories actually helps you live longer! Or so says Dr Oz and he is god, so… I listen :)
